In this workshop participants will learn the basics of 3D design using some popular 3D CAD apps.  This workshop will be discussing PrintShop, TinkerCad, MeshMixer, SolidWorks, AutoCad, SketchUp, DesignSpark Mechanical, Etc.

Some of these applications are proprietary while others are open source.  The aim is to introduce new 3D designers to the current state of the art in desktop 3D design, thereby encouraging them to learn more and enticing them to do more in the field of 3D CAD.

Objectives:

• Learn about the basic theory of 3D design
• Compare and contrast different 3D design apps
• Begin to develop proficiency in a popular 3D design app: Tinkercad

Requirements:

Participants must bring their own laptop computers.
